Please try not to waste resources, including electricity and water. Costs are one of the things that are considered when setting rental fees for the next year. Besides, the environment could use a break.
When you communicate that you would like to rent a week or more, a lease will be sent for you to sign and return. All reservations require the signed lease, pre-payment of a $400 refundable security deposit, and pre-payment of the rent as agreed upon in the lease. The security deposit will be refunded after your stay minus charges, if any, for damages or other charges to the property.
The following is a summary of the house rules and policies:
Rentals are by the week - Saturday to Saturday
Cancellation Policy - Guests who cancel at least 60 days before check-in will get back 100% of the amount they've paid. If they cancel between 59 and 30 days before check-in, they'll get back 50%. Otherwise, they won't get a refund.
Check in time is Saturday after 4:00 pm. Information about the key will be communicated to you before your stay. Regretfully, early check in cannot be accommodated.
Check out time is Saturday before 10:00 am. Regretfully, late check out cannot be accommodated.
Maximum number of guests is seven (six adult and one child persons). The house cannot accommodate seven adults. The primary renter should be a minimum of 25 years old.
Smoking and pets are not allowed - Some guests are allergic to pets and smoke and it is asked that you be courteous of them.
Events are not allowed - No events, parties, or large gatherings
Sand - Please rinse/brush off sand before entering the house. There is an outdoor shower and garden hoses for your use. This will help keep things clean and the indoor drains clear.
Trash - Trash must be placed in the black trash can located at the back door. Keep the clip on the can to deter critters. The can should be placed at the curb on Sunday night. Trash pickup is early Monday morning. Please return the can to the back door after pickup on Monday.
Recyclables - all recyclables must be placed in the blue can located at the back door. DO NOT place recyclables in plastic bags. Recyclable pickup will be denied if items are in plastic bags. The can should be placed at the curb on Sunday night. Recyclable pickup is Monday morning. Please return the container to the back door after pickup.
Please note: The property has stairs which may be difficult for guests with limited mobility. Use both hands on the stair handrails. The stairs to the 2nd floor are steep and are original to the house.

Kitchen and Dining Area
Please take all food and personal items
Remove any trash and recyclables and dispose of in the proper containers
Leave the dining area, kitchen, and kitchen appliances clean
Vacuum and spot clean the floors
Run the dishwasher, wash the dishes.
Return clean dishes, silverware, pots, pans and utensils to proper cabinets or drawers.
Guests are not expected to wash and dry kitchen linens
Living Room
Return the TV, DVD player and VCR and/or cables to their original set up.
Return furniture, if moved, to their original positions
Bedrooms
Leave the bedrooms in a clean condition, check the drawers for personal items
Place bed pads in the laundry bag and place the bag at the door before you check out
Guests are not expected to wash the bed linens
Bathrooms
Leave the bathroom in a clean condition, wipe down sink, counter tops, toilet and shower
Guests are not expected to sanitize the bathroom
Porch and Deck
Return furniture to original positions
Sweep the porch and deck
Back yard area
Take personal items from the outside shower
Clean the grill of spent coals and clean the grill grate
Return the lighter tool and cool grill to the shed
Clean grilling tools should be returned to the kitchen drawer
Lock the shed and return the key to the “Keys” holder in the kitchen
Laundry Area
Check washer and dryer for personal items
Clean the lint tray
Return clothes pins to bag and hang it in the laundry room
Return brooms and mops to original positions
When you are ready to leave please remember to:
Turn off all AC units and electrical items (fans, lights, washer, dryer etc.)
Cool weather guests - If the heat was used during your stay, please turn all thermostats to OFF
Shut and lock all windows
Lock the doors
Leave the key on the table
